Our Story
It all started over a bottle of wine...
Tarl & Eric have worked in the food and beverage industry for their entire careers. They bonded over shared culinary passions while working various stints in the Portland restaurant scene and eventually started cooking for festivals and other fun events around the Pacific Northwest. As their services continued to get booked, their partnership naturally grew into My Vice Catering & Events.
Our Food
Seasonal & Local
We try to procure from local Pacific Northwest vendors as much as possible, depending on the season and what’s available. Since we’re Portland, OR based, we’ve got an abundance of nearby produce, meats and spirits that bring life to every menu we create.
Delicious
If you like bland food, we’re not the company for you. Unlike other catering meals you may have eaten, our dishes are prepared by talented chefs with discerning palettes who want each bite to be full of flavor and personality.
Thoughtful
Our team has years of experience in creating memorable culinary experiences. Whether we’re creating a completely unique menu or if you pick from one of our predesigned menus, every dish is vetted by our team of chefs.
Approachable
We want everyone to have a seat at our table. Our food is made from simple, flavorful ingredients that speak for themselves. The My Vice team believes that you should not be intimidated by what’s on your plate, rather you should feel welcome and at home when eating our food.
Our Community
Giving Back
Our team believes that everyone deserves good food. From the very beginning, we committed ourselves to finding creative ways to feed our local Portland neighbors in need. We’re always looking for ways to donate food to local shelters, nonprofits, school programs and events. Portland Radio Project, Grant High School, Buckman Elementary, Oregon Minority Lawyers Association.
At our newest kitchen we will be working alongside Community Development Partners to help feed low income residents. When you hire My Vice Catering for your event, a portion of the funds from your catering package will be invested back into feeding the community, we’ll be offering weekly dinners and other meals throughout the year.
Please ask us more about this program and get in touch if you’d like to donate.
